The contents inside of a garbage truck caught fire. While messy, the fire was contained to the contents after they were dumped out into a parking lot on Highway 62 West.

Caldwell County was well represented this year at the 2008 4-H County Ham Contest at the Kentucky State Fair. Eleven Caldwell County 4-Hers participated, bringing home several blue ribbons.

Chamber Spring Picnic
The threat of rain moved the Chamber Spring Picnic to the Chamber offices. But that did not hinder the hunger and the turnout for the event, which raises funds for the Virginia Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
